Let’s dive right into it. Yung Joc recently shared his thoughts on King Combs’ diss track aimed at 50 Cent, and he didn’t hold back.
Months ago, an interesting interview resurfaced featuring Yung Joc discussing a peculiar scenario involving Diddy and his ex, Cassie. He recalled Diddy asking Cassie to shave her head after seeing another woman with a similar hairstyle. Joc was puzzled by her compliance, but she said, ‘Whatever Sean wants I’m gonna do.’ Given this background, it’s not shocking that Yung Joc has opinions about King Combs’ recent musical jab at 50 Cent.
In a chat with Vlad TV, Yung Joc talked about King Combs’ track ‘Pick a Side,’ which is a response to 50 Cent’s relentless trolling of his father, Diddy. On the track, King Combs raps, ‘When all they had was 50 Cent who put the city on the map?/ Stop lying, pops been hated on by many men and n****, that’s fine/ They gon’ try to stop these Eminems and they gon’ die tryin.’ But as usual, 50 Cent was quick to react and seemed unfazed.
Joc voiced his respect for King Combs’ effort to defend his father but didn’t mince words about the track’s shortcomings. He argued that it lacked aggression and lyrical depth, calling the delivery ‘kind of lackluster.’ When interviewer Shawn Prez asked if it was wise for Diddy to let his son get involved in the beef, Joc pointed out that King Combs was already in the spotlight due to serious allegations against Diddy.
‘I respect him for standing up for his dad,’ Joc said, but ultimately felt the song didn’t achieve much. Despite these musings, the track did little to alter the ongoing feud or people’s perceptions.
So, that’s Yung Joc’s take on King Combs’ diss track. While he respects the intent, he believes the execution left much to be desired. The ongoing drama between Diddy, his son, and 50 Cent doesn’t seem to be cooling down anytime soon, so stay tuned for more updates.
