Young Thug’s battle in court faces more hurdles as his latest attempts for a mistrial and bond have been denied. Here are the highlights:

Young Thug, now on his third judge in the YSL RICO case, faces more setbacks as his requests for a mistrial and bond were denied.

This trial, now the longest in Georgia’s history at eight months, resumed after appointing a new judge following a delay.

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker reviewed multiple requests, including Young Thug’s plea for a mistrial based on the previous judge’s controversial hearing. She denied the request, stating that it would overstep her responsibilities.

Young Thug’s lawyer argued that the ex parte hearing conducted by the original judge was improper, but Whitaker found no grounds for a mistrial.

Regarding bond, Whitaker ruled that recent events did not show any ‘change in circumstances’. She noted that Judge Glanville, the previous judge, was not removed due to bias.

Judge Ural Glanville was taken off the case on July 15 after meeting with prosecutors and a state witness without notifying Young Thug’s legal team.

Judge Shakura Ingram briefly replaced Glanville but recused herself on July 17 due to a conflict of interest involving a co-defendant in the case.

Whitaker, appointed the same day, stated she needs more time to review the motion to disqualify the prosecutors and will make a finding about the ex parte hearing soon.

This complex case remains turbulent, with Young Thug and fellow YSL member Yak Gotti both seeking mistrials.

The legal battle continues for Young Thug, with no immediate relief in sight.
