Uncle Luke, the outspoken Hip Hop icon, didn’t hold back in his critique of the Latino community’s support for Donald Trump in recent elections. Known for backing Kamala Harris, Luke voiced his disappointment after Latinos helped Trump secure votes for another term.

During a candid Instagram Live session, Uncle Luke expressed his discontent with those who didn’t support Kamala Harris, suggesting dire consequences. He stated, “All y’all who didn’t vote for Kamala, y’all stupid ass gon’ get deported. Y’all having marches and shit already. We are not going out there to march. Black people are not going to march for you.” His message was clear: he believed the solidarity between Black and Latino communities was betrayed.

Luke continued, emphasizing the division he feels has been cemented because of the election results. “The line got drawn last Tuesday. We know where we stand with all y’all,” Luke remarked, noting how communities should be aligned due to shared struggles. Yet, he felt this election revealed different loyalties and priorities.

As 60% of Latino voters cast their ballots for Trump, Uncle Luke’s frustration grew. He warned them with a vivid analogy about little Black ladies potentially calling authorities on them. “Now you got to worry about the little Black ladies who sitting there looking out the window calling the people on you. Hey ICE. They going to be singing the song. ‘Ice Ice Baby.’” His harsh words highlighted a perceived lack of mutual support.

The election results indeed showed a surprising shift. According to Reuters, 46% of Hispanic voters supported Trump, an increase from his previous campaign. The results were contentious given Trump’s past comments about Hispanic communities that were seen as racist.

On the other hand, not all in the Hip Hop scene shared Uncle Luke’s sentiments. Figures like 50 Cent seemed unfazed by Trump’s victory, displaying a pragmatic attitude with comments about aligning with winners, regardless of who they are. He posted on Instagram: “I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner shit.” Meanwhile, rapper Lil Pump chose to criticize those who backed Kamala Harris, declaring his stance on what he believes to be right.

Uncle Luke’s outspoken remarks underscore the fracture he perceives between Black and Latino communities in the political arena. His criticism of Latino voters supporting Trump is embedded in a broader conversation about loyalty and support among minority groups. Despite mixed opinions in the Hip Hop realm, his words have sparked discussion and reflection on communal ties.
