Suge Knight’s ominous warning to Diddy has come back into the spotlight following Diddy’s arrest for sex trafficking.
The Death Row Records co-founder had previously claimed on his podcast that Diddy’s life was at risk because of the secrets he holds. Knight didn’t mince words, stating, “I’ll tell you what, Puffy, your life is in danger ’cause you know the secrets, who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in. You know they gonna get you if they can.”
Knight, who is currently incarcerated, also took the opportunity to mock Diddy’s moniker, Brother Love. He remarked, “Do not do your time going by Brother Love, Brother Love is not a good code name for prison.”
Despite the longstanding feud between the two, Knight had previously expressed a surprising amount of empathy for Diddy. In the Tubi documentary ‘TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy,’ Knight revealed mixed feelings, saying, “My reaction was actually different because the first thing that came to my mind was: he has his sons, he has his daughters. My reaction was first about the kids. The thing is, I feel it’s a bad day for Hip Hop. It’s a bad day for the culture because it makes us all look bad.”
Knight made it clear, however, that he does not find joy in Diddy’s current predicament. “I’m not the type of guy to cheer for other people’s downfall,” he added. “If somebody got killed or something happens to them, then I’m not going to pop champagne bottles. If I have a problem with Puffy, that’s for he and I to sit down in a room and resolve it.”
In spite of this empathy, Knight has not shied away from making allegations against Diddy over the years. Last November, he accused Diddy of assaulting a female assistant because she failed to inform him about Cassie’s relationship with Kid Cudi. Knight also suggested that Kid Cudi’s car was destroyed under Diddy’s orders.
The resurfacing of Suge Knight’s warning to Diddy adds another layer to the complex and controversial world of hip hop, reminding everyone that the secrets of the past continue to influence their present.
