Sexyy Red is making waves in the beauty industry with her newly launched lip gloss line, NORTHSIDE PRINCESS. The names of the shades are predictably wild and bold, just like the rapper herself.
Taking to her social media accounts on Monday (August 19), Sexyy introduced her brand NORTHSIDE PRINCESS. The lip gloss shades come with eyebrow-raising names such as “Coochie Juice,” “Bootyhole Brown,” “Nut,” “Pussyhole Pink,” “Yellow Discharge,” “Gonorrhea,” “Blue Ballz,” and “Sex on the Beach.” The latter even boasts a fruity scent.
“Introducing NORTHSIDE PRINCESS, the brand & my first product will b my lipgloss I’m so excited,” she wrote online. This isn’t the first time these lip glosses have been available. Before hitting fame, Sexyy Red had sold these outlandish products back in 2019. However, it seems she has revamped the line.
In an interview last year, she shared her excitement: “I got a lip gloss line dropping soon, y’all better shop with your girl. I got all different flavors: Coochie Juice, Bootyhole Brown, Coochie Pink, Sex on My Period, Gonorrhea, Yellow Discharge and Nut.”
Meanwhile, Sexyy Red is also celebrating milestones in her music career. On Tuesday (August 13), her song “Get It Sexyy” was certified gold, and her breakthrough track “Pound Town” went platinum. To celebrate, she revealed the surprising backstory of “Get It Sexyy” on Instagram.
The night “Get It Sexyy” was created, she was going through a tough period. “I was goin thru a lot just had my baby felt depressed and was going thru postpartum… my team in Miami would leave me in the studio to write songs & I would just b in there crying thinkin about life,” she shared.
Feeling overwhelmed, she decided to return to St. Louis to be around her loved ones. “Boom I’m in St. Louis I invite all my sisters and friends to my studio session we had blunts, bottles, food allet and I came out wit GET IT SEXYY GET IT SEXYY it really was ah confidence booster for me,” she continued.
The session turned into a celebration, washing away all her sadness. “We was so turnt all my sadness was gone I love my family period.” She even added a humorous note: “I was monain in the song cause my h0 was behind me humpin me while I was recording.”
