Quan first made waves in the Hip-Hop scene with his 2013 single ‘Type Of Way,’ and gained further fame with YG’s ‘My N-gga.’
In 2014, he joined forces with Young Thug as part of Rich Gang, releasing the mega-hit ‘Lifestyle.’
Despite his recent absence from the music scene, Quan revisited his career in 2022, reflecting on his lyrics in light of Young Thug’s YSL Rico case.
In an interview with Sway’s Universe, Quan emphasized the importance of protecting Black art and discussed his conscious effort to craft lyrics that wouldn’t negatively influence his children.
He mentioned, ‘My kids are getting older… I care about what I’m saying in these songs, ’cause I know they’re listening.’ Quan also urged the Hip-Hop community to move away from violent themes in music.
