Rapper Plies has made a notable suggestion for Kamala Harris if she wins the Presidential election. He took to social media, urging Harris to establish a national holiday dedicated to Black women. This initiative aims to recognize the significant contributions Black women have made to the country and the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, Plies also praised the mobilization efforts of over two million members of the Divine 9 organizations, who have come together to support Harris’s candidacy. However, controversies surrounding his comments about Donald Trump have sparked mixed reactions on social media.

Plies’ Proposal for Black Women’s Day

Plies, the outspoken rapper, has a message for Kamala Harris if she wins the Presidential election. He suggests establishing a Black Women’s Day, a national holiday to honor the contributions of Black women. This, he believes, is the least the Democratic Party can do to show appreciation.

Taking to social media platform X on Tuesday, July 23, Plies emphasized the need for this holiday. He wrote, “@KamalaHarris When U Win This Election. U Better Sign An Executive Oder & Create A ‘Black Women’s Day’ & Make It A National Holiday! B/c What The Black Woman Has Done For The Democratic Party & This Country. Can No Longer Be Unappreciated!! (It’s The Least The Democrats Can Do).”

Commendation for Support Mobilization

Plies also gave a shout-out to the mobilization efforts by more than two million members of various organizations in the Divine 9. He mistakenly referred to them as all being sororities, while the Divine 9 includes fraternities as well. Nevertheless, he praised their efforts in supporting Kamala Harris’s candidacy.

In another post, Plies exclaimed, “Just Wanna Take The Time Out To Highlight Something That Is Absolutely Phenomenal!! 2,000,000 Black Women Banned Together To Mobilize Black Voters On Behalf Of @kamalaharris. Thank U For Continuing To Make A Way Outta No Way!! When The Smoke Clears Y’all Always There.”

Targeting Donald Trump

While advocating for Kamala Harris, Plies did not miss the opportunity to target Donald Trump. Despite warnings from fellow rapper Kodak Black, Plies continued to criticize Trump.

He shared a video snippet showing Trump dozing off during the Republican National Convention. Plies mockingly commented, “He Can’t Stay Awake! That boy cannot stay awake. He sleep! They talking, he sleep.”

In his caption, he added, “He Can’t Stay Awake At The RNC!! He Sleep Bih!!!!! The Media Give Dude All The Passes!!!” The post included several crying face emojis, emphasizing his point.

Kodak Black’s Warning

Earlier that week, Kodak Black, a Trump supporter, criticized Plies for his comments on Trump. This came after Trump survived an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

Kodak Black is a long-time supporter of Trump. He was upset with Plies for being unsympathetic toward Trump after the incident. The two rappers have a history of collaboration, making the criticism more impactful.

Plies, however, continued his tirade on social media. He suggested the shooting was staged and accused Trump of playing the victim. He added, “And U Know What’s Even More Crazy He Was In The Middle Telling A ‘LIE’ Right When This Happen!!!! Man God Tied Of Your Sh*t Bruh!!”

Plies Calling Out Double Standards

Plies didn’t hold back, even pointing out what he sees as double standards in the media. He highlighted how Trump gets away with things others wouldn’t.

He compared the situation to Trump mocking Nancy Pelosi’s husband after he was attacked. Plies stated, “Remember He Was Makin Fun Of Nancy Pelosi Husband Getting Hit In The Head With A Hammer!! God Don’t Like Ugly Bruh!!”

Social Media Reactions

Plies’ posts on social media garnered various reactions. Some applauded his bold statements and supported the idea of Black Women’s Day.

Others, however, criticized his approach and accused him of being disrespectful. Social media platforms were buzzing with discussions about his proposal and his comments on Trump.

The reactions were mixed, reflecting the divided opinions in the current political climate.
