PARTYNEXTDOOR has finally given fans something to look forward to regarding his much-anticipated collaborative album with Drake. After months of speculation, the duo’s project is on the cusp of completion, with a finishing line in sight shortly after a final tour stop in London.
Drake had teased fans back in August with the promise of a joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, saying it would be ready “when it gets a little chilly.” However, details remained scarce—until now. During a casual Instagram Live session, PARTYNEXTDOOR shared, “Guys, I have one more show on this tour. Then, the album is getting finished.”
The singer’s Sorry I’m Outside Tour is wrapping up with its last performance scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, in London. This marks a pivotal moment for fans eagerly awaiting new music from the dynamic partnership of Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Drake first mentioned the album during a PARTYNEXTDOOR & Friends concert in Toronto, upping the excitement by stating, “I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be right there for you.” This announcement was accompanied by a mini-performance featuring tracks like “Sweeterman,” “Finesse,” and “Come and See Me.”
Furthermore, PARTYNEXTDOOR has let slip that the duo is working on an impressive lineup of 15 new tracks. This revelation came during a conversation with Awaiz Punjani, where upon being asked about his favorite collaboration with Drake, he responded, “The one we doing right now – all 15 we doing right now.”
In other corners of Drake’s life, the rapper was recently seen entertaining himself at a Toronto Raptors game against the Sacramento Kings. Here, he had a playful exchange with NBA star DeMar DeRozan. Known for his cheeky courtside antics, Drake made headlines by taunting DeRozan with statements like, “If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself.”
The game ended with Drake’s animated celebrations following a missed three-pointer by DeRozan, with the Raptors clinching a 131-128 victory. DeRozan took it in good spirits, saying, “He’s gonna have a long way to climb, I’ll tell you that,” while later humorously referencing a scene from the movie Friday on his Instagram Stories.
With PARTYNEXTDOOR’s tour nearly concluded and statements hinting the album’s completion is imminent, fans won’t have to wait much longer to experience the collaborative magic he and Drake have been brewing. The excitement is palpable, and the wait seems to be finally nearing its end.
