Nicki Minaj found herself in a sticky situation earlier today when she was taken into custody by police in Amsterdam. The incident quickly went viral, especially after Minaj livestreamed parts of it on Instagram.
The rapper, known for hits like ‘Super Bass’ and ‘Anaconda,’ was detained for allegedly carrying drugs. Minaj, however, was quick to deny the allegations, insisting she had no drugs on her and demanding to speak with a lawyer.
In a series of Instagram posts, she shared her frustrations and suggested that her ongoing tour might be facing sabotage attempts. ‘They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show,’ she wrote, explaining that her bags had been taken without her seeing them and put on a plane. She accused certain individuals of paying big money to sabotage her tour, calling their actions illegal.
Minaj was supposed to perform at Manchester’s Co-Op Live as part of her Pink Friday 2 Tour. However, the performance has now been postponed following the arrest. On social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, she provided further details. ‘Now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls,’ she posted. She added that her security team had already informed the authorities that the pre-rolls belonged to them. Despite the drama, Minaj has since been released and is expected to pay a fine for the incident.
While fans are disappointed by the postponement, they are eagerly waiting to see what happens next on Nicki Minaj’s tumultuous tour. Stay tuned for more updates.
