Metro Boomin is on a mission to support single mothers, and he’s doing it big. The famous producer is donating $20,000 in every city he and Future visit during their tour.
Named after his late mother, the Leslie Joanne Single Moms Are Superheroes grant program aims to provide financial support and concert tickets to single moms in 21 different cities.
The first lucky recipients were from Essential Families in Kansas City. Metro Boomin handed over $20,000 and gave two moms and their kids a night to remember with free concert tickets.
Just before the announcement, Metro held a special event for his hometown fans in St. Louis. The ‘Too Many Nights’ rapper hosted Metro Boomin and Friends at The Pageant, delighting his die-hard fans.
The tour has a packed schedule, moving from Milwaukee to major cities like Toronto, Philadelphia, New York, Houston, and more. It concludes on September 9 in Vancouver.
Alongside this tour, Metro Boomin has consistently supported single mothers. In 2022, he partnered with the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation to celebrate single moms as everyday heroes.
Earlier this year, he donated $100,000 to five non-profits in St. Louis, focusing on helping women with childcare, rent, and other expenses. Metro’s commitment to supporting single mothers is unwavering.
In his own words, ‘I’ve seen firsthand the work that goes into being a single mother. Mine was my inspiration and my hero.’
In partnership with Amazon Access and Rung for Women, Metro allocated $20,000 each to various foundations dedicated to empowering women.
Metro Boomin’s heartfelt efforts are making a huge difference for single moms across the country.
