Metro Boomin rocked Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center with a special twist during his tour with Future when he wore a jumpsuit famously donned by André 3000.
The dynamic duo of Metro Boomin and Future took the stage at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center on Tuesday night. While the show didn’t feature any surprise guests, Metro stood out by wearing a black jumpsuit with the phrase, ‘Which type of stereo are you?’ The striking outfit was inspired by André 3000’s wardrobe from OutKast’s 2014 reunion tour.
After the show, Metro Boomin took to social media to reveal that the jumpsuit wasn’t just inspired by André 3000—it was the exact original piece. He expressed his gratitude on Instagram, saying, ‘Big thanks to the [goat emoji] @andre3000 for letting me hold 1 of his original and iconic tour jumpsuits.’
Metro also shared his sentiments on X (formerly Twitter), reminiscing about how he grew up watching wrestling and listening to OutKast. His revelation included a picture that perfectly showcased the legendary garment.
Aside from his standout fashion choices, Metro Boomin has been making headlines for his charitable efforts. Throughout the 27-date ‘We Trust You Tour,’ Metro has been donating $20,000 to each city in support of single mothers. Earlier this summer, he launched the Leslie Joanne Single Moms Are Superheroes grant program in honor of his late mother. The program promises $20,000 grants and concert tickets in every tour stop.
The first beneficiary of this grant was Essential Families, a non-profit based in Kansas City, Missouri. Following the tour’s opening show, the organization received the grant, and two mothers along with their children were given VIP tickets to the concert.
Metro Boomin has long been a champion for single mothers. In 2022, he collaborated with the Steve & Marjorie Harvey foundation to celebrate single moms as everyday heroes. His initiative continued to shine earlier this year when he donated $100,000 to five non-profits in his hometown of St. Louis. These funds have helped women overcome debt and cover essential expenses like childcare and rent.
Metro Boomin’s heartfelt gestures and André 3000’s ‘iconic’ jumpsuit created an unforgettable night in Sacramento.
