Metro Boomin’s passion for superheroes is widely known, and he’s taking it to the next level by diving straight into their world.

On Friday, June 14, the first issue of The Metroverse comic book series will be available for purchase. This debut, titled “The Rise,” has been penned by Ryan Cady and brought to life by illustrator Vasilis Lolos. The storyline features a superhuman version of Metro Boomin, a Missouri native, facing off against a despotic media mogul.

The initial release includes just 4,000 copies of the standard edition, ensuring it’s a hot commodity for collectors and fans alike. Additionally, a special event at a Complex pop-up in Los Angeles will be held the day before the comic goes live online. Each package purchased will include an exclusive art print and an enamel pin.

Metro Boomin expressed his excitement over the project, sharing with Rolling Stone, “It’s a dream come true to have my own comic book on shelves.”

In a similar vein, Kid Cudi made his entry into the comic book world earlier this year with his release of Moon Man. Dropping in late January, Moon Man reimagines the Miracleman series, and Kid Cudi has received acclaim for his work, partnering with artist and director Kyle Higgins. Kid Cudi shared on Instagram, “I’ve been secretly workin on this for over a year and it’s finally happening. I’m so fuckin hype for u all to dive in.” His 40-page comic sold out shortly after its online debut.

Fans of both artists have shown massive support for these creative ventures, blending the worlds of hip-hop and comics.

Metro Boomin’s foray into the comic book world with The Metroverse is yet another testament to his diverse talents and creative vision. Keep an eye out for the limited release and grab a copy if you can.
