When Megan Thee Stallion faced a major water issue that disrupted her Atlanta show, she turned to the stars of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ for help, and they answered her call.
Megan Thee Stallion took to her social media on June 1, playing on her Nintendo Switch, and called out, “Kandi! Somebody! One of y’all Atlanta housewives! Help us!” Her plea didn’t go unnoticed. Shereé Whitfield from ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ responded on her social media, inviting Megan to her house: “Hey Meg! We know it’s a Hot Girl Summer. And I know you’re hot in that stadium. Come over to the chateau! We’d love to have you.”
The water issues in Atlanta forced Megan to cancel her show at the State Farm Arena on May 31, just an hour before doors were set to open. She informed her fans via X (formerly Twitter) about the massive water main break affecting the city, expressing her disappointment and announcing the rescheduled date: “Unfortunately, we will need to reschedule tonight’s show at State Farm Arena due to the massive water main break that The City of Atlanta is experiencing. I’m extremely disappointed because I had a huge surprise for the Hotties tonight, but we will follow the Mayor’s protocol. Tonight’s show is rescheduled for THIS SUNDAY June 2nd, 2024.”
The venue assured fans that tickets for the postponed show would be honored on the new date and that the show scheduled for June 1 would go on as planned. However, continued issues forced another cancellation on the second night. State Farm Arena tweeted minutes before the show, informing fans that the water leak issues persisted and the city couldn’t accommodate the performance.
Amidst the chaos, Megan and GloRilla’s performances were still anticipated for June 2, with nearby events, including an Atlanta United soccer match, proceeding as usual. As the city dealt with its water woes, fans eagerly awaited the rescheduled performance, holding onto the hope that the Hot Girl Summer tour would continue without further interruptions.
Despite the setbacks, Atlanta rallied around Megan Thee Stallion, exemplified by Shereé Whitfield’s warm invitation. Fans now look forward to the rescheduled shows, hoping for a smoother experience.
