The rapper, who has always been known for pushing boundaries, describes ‘Endless LUP’ as a 24-hour AI-powered station dedicated to playing unique AI-generated versions of his songs. This innovative concept is a product of Lupe’s collaboration with a team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he has been involved since 2022 as a visiting professor.
Lupe Fiasco’s academic journey doesn’t end at MIT. He was named a Saybrook Fellow at Yale in 2023, and recently, he’s taken on a new position as a professor of Hip Hop at Johns Hopkins University. Announcing his role at Johns Hopkins, Lupe wore a baseball cap and expressed his excitement about joining the Peabody Institute’s faculty in 2025.
In his social media announcement, Lupe noted, “Thrilled to share that I’ll be joining the faculty at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Institute in Fall 2025 as a Distinguished Visiting Professor, teaching Rap as part of the groundbreaking new 4-year Hip Hop Degree Program led by the visionary Professor @wendelpatrickofficialmusic.”
