It’s been a busy few months for Lupe Fiasco, but he took fans by surprise by dropping a new track called “SHRINK”. This release takes us back to his days with Child Rebel Soldier (CRS), his supergroup with Kanye West and Pharrell.

“SHRINK” features a sample from Radiohead’s 2000 song “Optimistic.” Fans are both thrilled and curious if this means more music from CRS is on the horizon.

CRS originally disbanded in 2013 after releasing just two tracks. Hip-hop fans were heartbroken back then, but Lupe now plans to reimagine the group as a Radiohead sample-driven solo venture. He shared, “I’m gonna reboot CRS in the next six months, maybe next year.”

This wasn’t exactly what fans had in mind when they hoped for a CRS return, but they’re excited nonetheless. Lupe’s announcement of a 19-city U.S. tour starting in October adds more excitement for his followers.

The tour supports his ninth studio album, Samurai, released in June. Lupe celebrated by unveiling a new song called “Tickets,” promising a fun-filled tour experience. It’s clear that he’s keeping busy and keeping fans engaged.

Lupe Fiasco’s new track “SHRINK” brings a fresh twist to his CRS days, leaving fans eager for what’s next.
