LL Cool J has just dropped the tracklist for his upcoming album ‘The FORCE,’ and it’s packed with some of hip hop’s biggest names.

The legendary LL Cool J took to Instagram on Thursday, July 11, revealing that ‘The FORCE’ will feature contributions from the likes of Eminem, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, and Saweetie, just to name a few.

Set to release on September 6, the 14-track album also sees Rick Ross and Fat Joe bring their flair on the single ‘Saturday Night Special.’ LL Cool J didn’t stop there; he also released a new single titled ‘Passion,’ boasting a dance-inspired groove and slick bars that have fans buzzing.

Q-Tip has produced the entire album, something LL Cool J is particularly excited about. He shared in a red carpet interview at the 2023 Grammy Awards, ‘I know all the tricks. I got this covered. Look, it was executive produced by Q-Tip. The album I think is really, really special. I think it’s something it’s modern without chasing. It’s a whole new thing. I can’t wait for the people to see it.’

Interestingly, Dr. Dre was initially supposed to helm the project. Speaking with Angela Yee, LL revealed, ‘The real story is that I did about 30 to 40 songs with Dr. Dre… but I felt like the writing didn’t feel strong enough to me.’ This prompted a change in direction, inspired by a dream visit from the late Phife Dawg. ‘I ended up having a dream, and in this dream, Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest came to me… And I woke up, I just felt like Q-Tip was on my spirit. So I just called him and we did the record,’ LL explained.

With track titles like ‘Spirit of Cyrus’ featuring Snoop Dogg and ‘Murdergram Deux’ featuring Eminem, ‘The FORCE’ promises a dynamic experience. This album, LL Cool J’s 14th studio effort and first in over a decade since 2013’s ‘Authentic,’ is one fans certainly won’t want to miss.

In all, ‘The FORCE’ looks set to be an exciting addition to LL Cool J’s illustrious career, blending legendary voices and modern beats. The wait until September 6 just got a lot harder!
