Former California Highway Patrol officer, Gregg Musgrove, made a surprising discovery in a storage unit he purchased in Van Nuys. He found DAT tapes filled with these unreleased MJ songs.
The storage unit once belonged to music producer Bryan Loren, whom Musgrove hasn’t been able to trace. Nevertheless, the tapes offer an exciting glimpse into music history.
Recorded between 1989 and 1991, these tapes include 12 songs, featuring a track labeled ‘duet rap with LL COOL J,’ piquing curiosity among fans of both artists.
Despite plans to auction the tapes, Michael Jackson’s estate insists that commercial use is off the table. Their statement to The Hollywood Reporter affirmed that master recordings reside safely within the estate’s vaults.
