Lil Wayne picked his ultimate fantasy football team, featuring top rappers like JAY-Z as Tom Brady.

  • Wayne considers himself the coach of this fantasy team.
  • He names Drake, aka Champagne Papi, as his star quarterback.
  • Beanie Sigel is selected to plow through defenses as the tough running back.
  • Future and 2 Chainz are tapped as the team’s flamboyant wide receivers.

Lil Wayne dropped by Cam Heyward’s Not Just Football podcast and revealed his all-star rapper fantasy football team. He kicked things off by crowning himself the coach, saying he needed to oversee everything and make everyone feel great. Bold move, but this is Weezy we’re talking about.

For the quarterback position, Wayne picked Drake, also known as Champagne Papi, to lead the offense. He praised Drake’s multiple skills and ability to work well with others. Wayne remarked, “Jay would be Tom Brady, so Jay’s not in this. JAY-Z is Tom Brady; he’s just retired.”

Moving on to the running back, Wayne chose Beanie Sigel, emphasizing the need for a tough player who strikes fear into opponents. He painted a vivid picture of defenders begging not to see Beanie get the ball – a compliment to Sigel’s hard-hitting style.

Wayne picked Future as the top wide receiver for his swagger and versatility. He noted Future’s height and mentioned that he could also play quarterback if needed. Opposite Future, 2 Chainz made the cut for his flair and complementary skills.

During the same podcast episode, Wayne also shared his dream music collaborations, both past and present. He listed Michael Jackson, Prince, Biggie, and Tupac as his dream team, followed by Lauryn Hill as a living legend he’d love to work with.

Wayne then touched upon a recent performance where he seemed to weigh in on the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. While performing “The Motto” in Las Vegas, he held up his OVO chain and put his spin on Kendrick’s diss track chorus, adding fuel to the fan speculation fire.

Wayne’s fantasy football team of rappers is as iconic and compelling as his music collaborations.
