Lil Uzi Vert’s much-anticipated album “Eternal Atake 2” has not hit the high notes many expected. Despite the buzz surrounding its release, early sales figures suggest a less than stellar reception.
Fans were eagerly waiting for Lil Uzi Vert’s new album, fueled by months of teasers and the absence of pre-released singles promising fresh music. However, once “Eternal Atake 2” dropped, it didn’t quite resonate with listeners.
The hip-hop community’s response was mixed. Some fans declared it their least favorite album yet, while others saw it as a sign of Lil Uzi Vert’s decline. Recent projects, like “Pink Tape,” also faced criticism, hinting at a downward trend that “Eternal Atake 2” seems to have confirmed.
The album’s first week sales projections are disappointing. Reports predict approximately 60,000 equivalent units, with a mere 2,500 being pure sales. This is a stark contrast to his previous works—”Pink Tape” and the first “Eternal Atake”—which debuted with 167,000 and 288,000 copies respectively.
Despite this, Lil Uzi Vert is still expected to make it to the third spot on the Hot 200 chart. Yet, the numbers pale in comparison to Tyler, The Creator’s projected 150,000 units, securing his position at number one for the second week in a row.
It seems that “Eternal Atake 2” has fallen short of expectations, leaving many questioning Lil Uzi Vert’s current musical trajectory. Only time will tell if he can reclaim his former glory.
