Lil Uzi Vert has once again left fans buzzing with excitement, revealing a new album in the works despite previously announcing their retirement.
In a conversation with social media personality Ben Weiss, Lil Uzi Vert spilled the beans on their next project titled ‘Eternal Atake 2.’ This came as a surprise, considering Uzi had declared back in October that ‘Luv Is Rage 3’ would be their swan song.
During their Pink Tape Tour in Chicago, the 28-year-old rapper told fans that ‘Luv Is Rage 3’ would be their final album. Promising one last tour for the project, Uzi expressed a desire to lead a ‘normal life’ post-retirement. The crowd’s audible disappointment was met with a reassuring message from Uzi, urging fans to ‘relax.’
However, Uzi’s recent revelation suggests they’re not done just yet. In December, they even offered fans a taste of ‘Luv Is Rage 3,’ although now it might just be a teaser for ‘Eternal Atake 2.’
On Instagram Live, Uzi delighted fans with a snippet that interpolated Drake’s ‘7969 Santa.’ Over piano-driven production, they crooned, ‘Dogs will be dogs / Don’t we made wrong / Find my way home / Dogs will be dogs.’ Uzi’s unique style shone through, capturing fans’ attention yet again.
In another part of the IG Live session, Uzi previewed a separate track with a more laid-back, syrupy flow, rapping, ‘I tell myself that I can change / But our love is not the same.’ This left fans eagerly anticipating what’s next.
While no release date has been announced for either project, the anticipation is building. Fans can only hope that both albums are on the horizon, and Uzi’s return to the music scene is imminent.
It’s safe to say that Lil Uzi Vert’s potential return with ‘Eternal Atake 2’ is keeping fans on their toes. Despite earlier retirement plans, it seems there’s still plenty of music left in Uzi’s repertoire.
