Lil Uzi Vert has decided to leave behind their use of nitrous oxide, addressing rumors head-on.

Lil Uzi Vert recently made it clear through their Instagram Stories that they plan to stop using nitrous oxide. In one story, Lil Uzi posted a selfie with the caption ‘No more bad stuff,’ featuring a series of emojis hinting at their decision. Fans were quick to speculate that the emojis were referencing the rapper’s past use of nitrous oxide, commonly inhaled through party balloons.

The rapper further grabbed attention by asking, ‘Who fried?’ on another Instagram post, using humor to tackle concerns about potential brain impacts due to nitrous oxide use. A final story featured a familiar sound clip from JAY-Z’s album alongside the message ‘Trust the process,’ indicating a commitment to change.

Lil Uzi Vert’s forthcoming album, ‘Eternal Atake 2,’ doesn’t shy away from addressing these rumors. In the opening track ‘We Good,’ Uzi responds to speculation, rapping about being ‘lost’ and on ‘that NOS.’ The next track, ‘Light Year (Practice),’ seems to acknowledge the use outright with lyrics mentioning being ‘fresh off the nitrous.’

Earlier in the year, fan concern peaked when a video circulated showing Uzi inhaling from a balloon in a recording studio. The clip, which featured an unmarked canister, fueled criticism and sparked debates about the impact on Uzi’s music and health.

Critics on social media were quick to voice their thoughts, questioning the quality of Uzi’s music in light of these revelations. One user on X commented on the perceived decline in music quality, while another suggested a grim outlook if nitrous remained a part of Uzi’s studio routine.

Moreover, the National Institute of Health has warned against extensive use of nitrous oxide. The warning cited issues such as a potential vitamin B12 deficiency and more severe health consequences, adding to fan concerns.

Therefore, Uzi’s public renouncement of nitrous oxide use seems timed to ease these worries, aiming to focus more on the music and less on controversy.

It appears Lil Uzi Vert is taking serious steps toward a cleaner lifestyle, reassuring fans and critics alike with their recent announcements on social media.
