Reese’s legal troubles started in mid-July when a woman accused him of rape following a date in Los Angeles. The woman rejected his advances, and according to her report, Reese then assaulted her in a hotel room.

After the alleged incident, the woman alerted hotel security, resulting in Reese’s arrest at the hotel later that day. He was released on a $100,000 bond shortly after.
