Lil Baby is set to shake up the music world once more with the announcement of his upcoming album, ‘Dominique,’ slated for a February release. This news follows the recent success of ‘WHAM,’ which has taken the charts by storm.

The Atlanta rapper, known for his dynamic style and engaging lyrics, took to Instagram to drop this exciting piece of news. Alongside sharing the triumph of ‘WHAM,’ which climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop albums chart, and their Rap albums chart, he teased fans saying, “See yall again in a couple weeks ‘Dominique’ The Album 2-?-25.”

‘WHAM’ has not only topped the charts but also kept heavyweights like Bad Bunny, SZA, Kendrick Lamar, and Sabrina Carpenter at bay during the week ending January 18. This achievement marks Lil Baby’s fourth number one album, joining the ranks of previous hits like ‘It’s Only Me,’ his collaboration with Lil Durk ‘The Voice of the Heroes,’ and ‘My Turn.’

Released on January 3, ‘WHAM’ included some of the music industry’s big names, featuring appearances from artists such as Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, GloRilla, Rod Wave, Rylo, and 21 Savage. Lil Baby, during a chat on Lil Yachty’s ‘A Safe Place’ podcast, shared insights into his musical journey and how the albums in 2025 would differ.

He noted that some tracks intended for ‘Dominique’ were included in ‘WHAM’ to satiate his eager fanbase. While ‘WHAM’ focuses on themes like fast cars, girls, jewelry, and money, portraying a “turnt lifestyle,” ‘Dominique’ promises to showcase a more serious, personal side of the rapper. “That’s a part of the new journey I’m on. I hate the word vulnerable, but I’m gonna be more open to my fans and my audience,” he revealed.

Furthermore, the recognition for his previous work, ‘My Turn,’ which was named the most popular rap album of the century according to Billboard’s chart performance, speaks volumes about Lil Baby’s influence in the music world. This album ranked eighth overall on the list of Top Billboard 200 Albums of the 21st Century, surpassing projects from renowned artists like Drake, Pop Smoke, and Kendrick Lamar.

As February approaches, the anticipation builds for what ‘Dominique’ will bring to Lil Baby’s ever-evolving legacy. With the rapper’s promise of a more personal touch, fans are eager to see this new chapter unfold. His journey in 2025, marked by two unique albums, underscores his commitment to versatility and connection with his audience.
