Latto has dropped her pick for the greatest female rapper of all time, and it’s no surprise she’s got a lot to say about it.

  • On Complex’s GOAT Talk, Latto and her sister Brooklyn Nikole shared their choices for the greatest of all time.
  • Brooklyn Nikole humorously picked her own sister, Latto, as her top rapper.
  • Latto declared Lil’ Kim as the ultimate female rap GOAT, citing her timeless influence and queen-like presence.
  • Joe Budden also chimed in, ranking Latto above Doja Cat in terms of pure rap skills.

Latto has revealed her choice for the greatest female rapper of all time during her appearance on Complex’s GOAT Talk. Along with her sister Brooklyn Nikole, they shared their top picks in various categories, including rap.

Brooklyn had an easy answer: “I’m not even gon’ lie, I have to say you. Not even being biased. I listen to you the most. You be on my top.”

Latto confidently responded, “The GOAT is Lil’ Kim, for sure. Fashion icon, timeless music, timeless looks, gon’ forever be a staple, in not only rap, but female rap.

She added, “And she the GOAT because she is a queen for real. Like off camera, she a queen… I love her, and she ‘Big Mama,’ too. It’s just a Big Mama thang.”

Meanwhile, Joe Budden also gave his thoughts on ranking female rappers on his podcast. He gave Latto her flowers while discussing her new album.

“First of all, Latto is one of the women that I support,” Budden said. “So I purchased this without listening to it at all. I have not gotten through the entire thing, but I went through the samples and I heard what I needed to hear.”

He praised Latto as “ill” and listed his top three female rappers, starting with Nicki Minaj at No. 1. “Nicki is number one for me, I might have to have [Latto] at number two.

Budden also said, “I think Latto will give Doja… [Doja] can’t rap like that. She may be a bigger artist, and a more well-rounded artist, but if I’m just talking about rapping, Doja can pack it up if Latto walk in the studio with her notebook.”

Budden briefly mentioned Cardi B but chose not to delve further due to their recent issues, adding, “I love Cardi, but I mean there’s the rumors, so I’ll leave that alone. Latto is confirmed that to be her thing. She really loves Hip Hop, she’s one of those girls.”

In the world of female rap, Latto makes a strong case for Lil’ Kim, while Joe Budden shows major support for Latto’s talents.
