Latto’s 2024 just keeps getting better. On Thursday, August 29, she was named ‘Trapper of the Year’ by T.I. and the Trap Music Museum, marking another significant milestone in her career.

The private event held at the museum was filled with excitement. DJs spun tracks, and fans belted out Latto-inspired karaoke. But the highlight was when Latto received a custom ‘Trapper of the Year’ ring, a moment captured and admired by fans everywhere.

Detavio Samuels, the CEO at REVOLT, expressed his pride, saying, “In this era of women, where their impact on culture is undeniable, we are proud to partner with the Trap Music Museum to honor Latto as this year’s ‘Trapper of the Year’.” This honor showcases the influence Latto has on culture, both locally and globally.

Other notable contenders for the title included Future, Kodak Black, GloRilla, and 21 Savage, but it was Latto who ultimately took home the award.

The excitement doesn’t stop there for Latto. Her latest album, ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea,’ has been piling up awards and honors. And during an appearance on Complex’s ‘GOAT Talk,’ Latto and her sister Brooklyn Nikole shared their picks for the greatest of all time in various categories, including rap. Brooklyn enthusiastically picked Latto, while Latto herself honored Lil’ Kim, citing her as a fashion icon with timeless music and looks.

Meanwhile, Joe Budden also added his voice to the praise, ranking Latto above Doja Cat. On his podcast, he revealed that he purchased Latto’s new album without even listening to it first, clearly impressed by what he has heard so far.

This string of accolades highlights Latto’s rising star in the rap world. With each award and honor, she continues to cement her place as a powerhouse in the industry, demonstrating that her influence is only growing stronger.
