Kanye West is in the spotlight again, this time for his new album cover.

  • Houston rapper Maxo Kream claims Kanye copied his album art.
  • Maxo shared side-by-side photos of both covers on social media.
  • The artwork features a black-and-white photo reminiscent of other artists.
  • Fans are buzzing with speculation about the identity of the person on the cover.

Kanye West’s latest artwork for his album ‘Bully’ has caught attention, sparking a bit of controversy. Houston rapper Maxo Kream alleged that Kanye copied his ‘Maxo 187’ cover art when the new cover was unveiled.

Maxo wasted no time and took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to post a comparison of the two covers. He pointedly captioned it, “Damn Ye 🧐🤨 Ifykyk,” hinting at the uncanny similarities between the two artworks.

In his Instagram story, Maxo delved deeper into the issue, expressing flattery at the alleged inspiration drawn from his work, but keeping a light-hearted tone. He shared his admiration for some of Kanye’s creative outputs, especially emphasizing his love for Kanye’s Nike collaborations.

Interestingly, Maxo mentioned a mutual connection to Don C, a long-time associate of Kanye. Maxo revealed a collaboration with Don C for his brand, Persona, intertwining their artistic worlds yet maintaining respect for each other’s boundaries.

Amidst the debate, Kanye remains silent on social media. Known for his reduced online presence lately, he’s neither confirmed nor denied any of the claims.

The ‘Bully’ artwork, shot by Daidō Moriyama, is a black-and-white close-up of someone flashing their grills. This style is reminiscent of Azealia Banks’ ‘212’ video and the ‘Her Loss’ artwork by Drake and 21 Savage, drawing intriguing parallels across music visuals.

Rumors circulate about the person on the cover potentially being Kanye’s son, Saint, who has been lovingly referred to as ‘Baby Ye.’ However, this potential connection remains unverified.

The unveiling of this album cover came shortly after Kanye announced ‘Bully’ during a performance in China. He also teased new music, adding to the buzz surrounding this project.

Kanye’s upcoming album is described as a solo venture, reportedly produced entirely by him while residing in a Tokyo hotel. This marks a shift from his usual collaborative approach, promising a fresh chapter in his career.

Fans eagerly anticipate ‘Bully,’ which follows Kanye’s collaboration on ‘Vultures’ with Ty Dolla $ign and is his first solo album since ‘Donda’ in 2020. Physical pre-orders are available, though streaming plans are still under wraps.

Kanye West’s creative ventures never fail to stir conversation, keeping fans and critics buzzing.
