Julio Foolio’s mother has finally spoken out about the strange posts that appeared on the late rapper’s Instagram page after his tragic death.
In an interview with Say Cheese, Sandrikas Mays, Foolio’s mother, revealed that she now has control of his account. “I’m running his account now,” she explained. “Before, somebody had his password or whatever, and I’m just able to retrieve it from his phone.”
She clarified that she wasn’t previously managing the account but is now posting content, including Foolio’s songs. “As of right now, you can see the different stuff on there now, me posting songs,” she added. “Now, I am running the account.”
The odd posts started back in July, shortly after Foolio’s untimely death. A particularly eerie Instagram Story promised to “shock the world,” featuring a close-up of Foolio’s diamond-encrusted watch and bracelet. The caption read, “THE LIFE OF A DEMI GOD 😈 You can NEVER KILL A DEMI GOD 😈.” It also mentioned, “The power of VOODOO is real, and the WORLD will be shocked VERY SOON mark these words.”
Intriguingly, earlier posts included a video clip of Foolio claiming he was a “Demigod” that could never die. The Florida native, whose real name was Charles Jones II, was tragically shot on June 23 while celebrating his 26th birthday at a Holiday Inn in Tampa, Florida.
The investigation into Foolio’s murder took a turn at the end of July. A fourth suspect, 30-year-old Rashad Murphy, was apprehended following a tense standoff with a SWAT team. This arrest came just one day after the first three suspects were detained. With the help of the U.S. Marshals Service, police tracked Murphy to his apartment complex. After hours of negotiation, SWAT members eventually used tactics to force him out.
Murphy, along with facing a charge of “No Valid Driver’s License,” also stands accused of premeditated first-degree murder, like the other suspects. The investigation continues as authorities piece together the events leading to Foolio’s untimely death.
While questions remain about the mysterious Instagram posts, Foolio’s mother is now in control of his account, bringing some clarity to the situation. The investigation into his tragic death continues, with multiple suspects now in custody.
