Jon B has voiced his displeasure with Gunna and Chlöe Bailey’s latest track, and he’s not holding back. Here’s the lowdown on the drama:

  • Gunna and Chlöe bailey sampled Jon B’s 1997 hit in their 2022 collaboration, “You & Me.”
  • Jon B criticized the track for turning his classic into what he calls a “ratchet record.”
  • Jon B also revealed that they didn’t get the rights to sample his song.
  • Rumors about Gunna and Chlöe’s relationship added more buzz to the story.

Appearing on the podcast ‘Can We Talk R&B?’, Jon B expressed his frustration with Gunna and Chlöe Bailey’s song ‘You & Me.’ The track samples his 1997 hit ‘They Don’t Know,’ and Jon B is not a fan.

‘They put that ratchet record out that I couldn’t stand and I wish they never did,’ Jon B stated bluntly. He voiced his displeasure not only with the song’s style but also with the fact that they never obtained the rights to sample his hit.

Jon B further elaborated, ‘If you made a hit in your area – you do your song, whatever it is – I’m not going to just come into your area, take your joint and make it mine and not pay you or whatever.’

Adding more intrigue to the situation, rumors had swirled about a romantic connection between Gunna and Chlöe Bailey around the time of the song’s release. The two were spotted at multiple events together, including an Atlanta Hawks game and a Los Angeles Lakers game, where they were seen hand-in-hand.

Despite both artists denying the dating rumors, the sightings continued, fueling speculation. A video even surfaced of them holding hands as they entered a clothing store, and they were later seen hugging and laughing inside.

However, Gunna’s involvement in the YSL RICO case led to his arrest in May of that year, which seemingly put any romantic developments on hold.

In March, fans speculated that the duo might have rekindled their relationship after appearing cozy at Offset’s Los Angeles show, where they were both special guests.

To this day, it remains unclear whether Gunna and Chlöe are just friends or if they’ve reignited their romance.

And that’s the latest chapter in the saga of Gunna, Chlöe Bailey, and Jon B’s sampled track drama.
