Joey Bada$$ and DeeKnows, former allies from the Pro Era group, were caught in a fiery altercation at an NYC store right before Christmas.

Captured on the store’s security cameras, the footage reveals an emotionally charged argument between the two, escalating into a fight both inside and outside the store. Although the cause of the confrontation remains unknown, fans of Pro Era expressed their sadness over seeing the ex-friends in such a conflict.

Intriguingly, the clash occurred on the anniversary of fellow Pro Era member Capital STEEZ’s passing on December 23. While some fans speculated that this could be connected to their dispute, there has been no confirmation. Capital STEEZ, born Courtney Dewar Jr., tragically died by suicide in 2012, leaving behind a tweet that ominously read ‘The end.’

STEEZ gained fame alongside Joey Bada$$ through their 2012 hit collaboration ‘Survival Tactics’. He released his first and only solo project, ‘AmeriKKKan Korruption,’ that same year. His family has since boycotted STEEZ DAY, an annual event by Pro Era intended to honor him. His sister, Tamara Dewar, criticized the event for being inaccessible to true fans.

Joey Bada$$ addressed these tensions in his 2022 track ‘Survivors Guilt’, reflecting on STEEZ’s death and his ongoing impact. He expressed feeling partially responsible, mentioning, ‘And here’s a message to his fam, I know y’all got emotional trauma, that I understand.’

The altercation between Joey Bada$$ and DeeKnows adds another chapter to the complex legacy of Pro Era members, with fans hopeful for resolution and understanding.
