Budden admitted to liking about four songs from ‘Bando Stone & The New World’ but slammed the overall vibe as ‘really, really, really pop.’
He expressed his preference for Gambino’s older style, like the song ‘Urn’ from ‘Because the Internet’.
Budden did have some praise for the track ‘Steps Beach,’ stating there wasn’t enough of that style on the album.
The podcast host mocked ‘No Excuses,’ calling it a ‘bisexual’ song. ‘Let him get in his bisexual bag!’ he joked, though he admitted the song was ‘fire.’
