JAY-Z has aggressively refuted shocking allegations made against him in a legal battle involving Diddy, where it’s claimed that both stars assaulted a minor back in 2000.
The claims, originating from a lawsuit by high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee, accuse JAY-Z and Diddy of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at an afterparty in New York City following the MTV Video Music Awards. Known first as ‘Celebrity A,’ JAY-Z was later named in the lawsuit, which was refiled in December.
The alleged victim contends she was invited to the party by one of Diddy’s drivers and was made to feel ‘woozy’ after consuming a drink. She claims she later awoke in a bedroom to find Diddy, JAY-Z, and an unnamed female celebrity, who proceeded to assault her.
In a rare statement, JAY-Z strongly attacked the allegations, describing them as false and heinous. He challenged the filing of a civil rather than a criminal complaint, suggesting that real perpetrators should face criminal charges and urging full accountability.
JAY-Z highlighted the impact on his family, noting the distraught effect such claims have amid family life, especially with children who may hear and question the allegations.
Tony Buzbee, responding on social media, claimed that JAY-Z attempted to silence his clients and contested Jay’s statements, indicating the letter sent by his firm was only to pursue a confidential mediation without financial demands.
Buzbee also reinforced his resolve to litigate the facts in court, dismissing any attempts to intimidate or bully his client.
Diddy’s legal team, meanwhile, expressed confidence in the judicial process, insisting that he did not assault anyone and assured that truth would prevail.
As these serious allegations unfold in court, the public remains divided and watchful of the revelations to come. Both JAY-Z and Diddy face scrutiny and are defending their reputations against these claims.
