James Harden made waves on Thursday night when he posted Lil Baby’s recent mugshot from an arrest in Las Vegas on his X (formerly Twitter) page. His caption? “CBFW,” or “can’t be f*cked with.”
Lil Baby, sporting a black tank top and noticeably red eyes in the photo, has been the talk of social media. Fans couldn’t resist chiming in. One joked, “Lmao if you ain’t go to Vegas and get a mugshot then you ain’t do it right! 😂🤷♂️ But seriously, bro’s a felon. I pray they don’t cook him.” Another fan added, “I love me some Lil Baby, but whatever he did, he did that sh*t. Look at those demon eyes.”
Lil Baby’s run-in with the law happened earlier this week. He was arrested for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. However, his legal team quickly jumped to his defense, clarifying that he does have a permit in Georgia. “Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit,” stated his attorney, Drew Findling. “On his behalf, we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.”
This isn’t Lil Baby’s first brush with the law. In 2014, he was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Reflecting on his past in a 2017 Rolling Stone interview, Baby shared, “Needed the money, more than anything. I knew all the drug dealers around my neighborhood. When I was like 10, 11, I was hanging out with a dude who was like 17. He was getting money to buy a car, having his own little spot. So he was a lot of my motivation, too.”
Lil Baby’s arrest has certainly stirred up social media buzz, thanks in part to James Harden’s post. As more details emerge, fans and followers will undoubtedly keep a close eye on the situation.
