Iggy Azalea is back in the spotlight, this time using her creativity to take a playful jab at her ex, Playboi Carti.
The Australian rapper, who’s been open about her rocky relationship with Carti and his lack of involvement with their son Onyx, has now found a new way to express her feelings—through a commercial. Recently promoted to creative director and co-founder of Unreal Mobile, Azalea used the brand’s latest ad to add a hint of shade toward Carti’s gothic style.
In the ad, a distressed vampire calls Unreal Mobile’s hotline for help. He’s been sipping ‘unreal’ blood instead of human blood. The vampire even mimics Carti’s high-pitched baby voice and his famous ‘WHAT?!’ ad-lib. All this while he discovers he’s overpaying for his mobile plan and should ’embrace the unreal.’ It’s a hilarious clip that has fans buzzing.
Azalea has many ventures outside of music. After deciding to step away from the mic earlier this year, she’s thrived in the crypto world, with her $MOTHER token being a payment option at Unreal Mobile. She’s also making waves as the highest celebrity earner on OnlyFans.
As for her relationship with Carti, the couple shares a four-year-old son named Onyx, born in 2020. The two split around that time, and Azalea hasn’t held back her feelings about Carti’s absence in their son’s life. On the Dinner’s On Me podcast, she stated, ‘I’m very much a single mother…I am not co-parenting right now, and that’s just the reality of it. It’s one, it’s 24/7.’
While Carti did appear in a short documentary called ‘Dear O’ last year, which featured touching moments with Onyx, Azalea wasn’t impressed. She took to social media to sarcastically comment on the video. ‘Its cool how you can fit damn near every visit into just one video [white heart emoji] Talented!’ she wrote.
Azalea and Carti began dating in 2018 but called it quits roughly two years later.
Iggy Azalea continues to make headlines, whether it’s through her business ventures or her candid remarks. Her latest ad for Unreal Mobile cleverly mixes humor with personal digs, keeping fans entertained and engaged.
