GloRilla has once again grabbed our attention by sampling Boosie Badazz’s iconic single, “Wipe Me Down,” in a new song snippet she shared on social media earlier this week.

The reworked track showcases GloRilla rapping about her roots in Memphis and giving a shoutout to CMG. Fans are buzzing with excitement over the snippet, with one user commenting, “If she keeps making music like that, she will last a very long time. Glo makes club bangers for sure. She’s different & she’s herself… I’m ready to hear the album.” However, not everyone is on board. Another user expressed frustration over the trend of sampling, saying, “Can we normalize this generation creating some new beats and material for the next generation to idolize because it seems like all everybody is doing is sampling and not being originals like that’s what Made Missy, Busta, Aaliyah etc ICONIC.”

This isn’t the first time GloRilla and Boosie have shown mutual support. In 2023, Boosie revealed in a video that he named his dog after GloRilla, dubbing it “Big Glo.” GloRilla responded by naming her pet lizard after Boosie, introducing the lizard to her fans by saying, “Say hey to my new addition. Hey, Boosie!”

While fans are thrilled about the “Wipe Me Down” sample, GloRilla faced some backlash recently for another song snippet she previewed on social media, which included controversial language. Despite the mixed reactions, her music continues to be a talking point and generates considerable anticipation.

With GloRilla’s knack for creating buzzworthy tracks and her latest tribute to Boosie Badazz, fans are eagerly awaiting what she will drop next.
