Future has stirred up quite a debate with his latest track ‘Plutoski’ from Mixtape Pluto, with many fans claiming he’s borrowing Playboi Carti’s distinctive style.

The buzz began when listeners noticed Future’s use of baby-voiced noises on the hook, a signature move of Playboi Carti. Reactions have flooded social media, mainly focusing on how much Future sounds like Carti on this particular track.

One fan on X (formerly Twitter) remarked, “Carti wanna sound like Future and Future wanna sound like Carti.” Another chimed in with, “So Carti took Future’s flow then Future took his right back????,” expressing the general sentiment of the music community.

Interestingly, Carti himself was recently accused of mimicking Future in his song ‘All Red.’ In that track, Carti ditches his high-pitched cadence for a deep, raspy voice that many say resembles Future’s unique style. Another listener humorously questioned, “Did Carti and Future accidentally mix up albums?” while others jokingly implied Future was “sneak dissing Carti’s baby voice for what he did on All Red.”

Mixtape Pluto has been highly anticipated, marking Future’s first solo mixtape in eight years. This project is a solo effort featuring 18 tracks. While there were rumors of a Travis Scott collaboration on the song ‘South of France,’ it turns out that Future flies solo on this entire tape.

Producers like Southside, Wheezy, and ATL Jacob contributed the beats for Mixtape Pluto, as Metro Boomin did not participate in this project. Future dedicated the mixtape to his late mentor and relative, Rico Wade, who passed away earlier this year. He expressed his appreciation on X, writing, “My cousin never died in my eyes.. Rico Wade u already know what u mean to me!”

Wade was a notable figure in the hip-hop community, known for his work with Organized Noize and contributions to OutKast and Goodie Mob. His influence on Future’s career has been significant, making this dedication a heartfelt tribute.

As the debate rages on, Mixtape Pluto continues to captivate listeners. Whether you love it or think Future sounds like Carti, it’s clear this mixtape has struck a chord in the hip-hop world.
