Eminem has expanded his new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), with a special bonus edition. This exciting addition includes a collaboration with the legendary DJ Premier and rap star 2 Chainz.
The new track, titled “Kyrie & Luka,” is produced by DJ Premier. Premier has skillfully used elements from Eric B. & Rakim’s classic “Move the Crowd” to create a captivating beat.
Fans will enjoy hearing Em and 2 Chainz each take on a long verse, adding their unique styles to the track.
In keeping with the basketball theme, 2 Chainz cleverly references players like Julius Randle and Kyrie Irving in his lyrics, making it relatable and fun. He spits lines like, “Things are going left like Julius Randle” and “Just like Kyrie, I got this shit handled.”
The bonus edition, known as the “Steve Berman Edition,” also includes two additional songs, “Kyrie & Luka” and “Like My Shit.” It even features a skit with Interscope Records vice chairman Steve Berman.
The album is predicted to perform exceptionally well, with first-week sales projected between 270,000 and 290,000 units, securing Eminem potentially his 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
This release could dethrone Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department from its 12-week run at the top.
While these numbers are on the lower end for Eminem, the album would still outperform his recent albums like Revival and Music to be Murdered By.
If it tops the charts, Eminem will join an elite group with 11 No. 1 albums, alongside Kanye West, Bruce Springsteen, and Barbra Streisand.
Eminem proves once again why he’s a legend in the rap game with this exciting album expansion.
