Eminem faces off against Slim Shady in a hilarious AI-powered interview featured in Complex’s cover story. A calm, bearded Marshall Mathers debates the bleached-blonde, wild Slim Shady, first introduced in the late ’90s.

The AI-generated video showcases a humorous back-and-forth, touching on various subjects. Slim Shady finds humor in Christopher Reeve’s tragedy, saying it’s funny that the ‘Superman’ actor fell off a horse. Marshall, however, doesn’t see the humor in it and criticizes Slim’s approach.

Slim Shady also targets Caitlyn Jenner, while Marshall argues against punching down on people just living their lives. Their clash of perspectives brings out the distinct differences between Eminem and his alter ego.

They briefly discuss Eminem’s beef with MGK, with Slim claiming ownership over everything people associate with Eminem. He mocks recent music, saying, ‘The music you’ve been dropping since I bounced ain’t it. You’re scaring the hoes! People wanna be entertained.’

Eminem counters, arguing that Slim’s antics piss people off more than entertain them. He points out how Gen Z cancels him every other week on TikTok and asks when Slim last took a shot at someone who wasn’t an easy target.

The video, written by Eminem and Complex’s Chief Content Officer Noah Callahan-Bever, was done with AI firm Metaphysics. This is the same company behind Eminem’s recent ‘Houdini’ video.

The interview is part of the rollout for Eminem’s latest album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady,’ which topped the Billboard 200 with the biggest sales week of 2024 in Hip Hop, debuting with 281,000 equivalent album units.

The album knocked off Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ after a 12-week stint at No. 1. It also had the second-biggest digital launch of the year, selling 114,000 units digitally, just behind Swift’s 274,000.

This AI interview adds an entertaining twist to the promotion of ‘The Death of Slim Shady,’ reflecting Slim Shady’s controversial and provocative nature.
