Just as he’s about to embrace fatherhood, King Harris lands himself in a legal quagmire, adding yet another twist to his rollercoaster life.
King Harris, the rising rapper and son of T.I., found himself in hot water recently in Dunwoody, Georgia. On October 14, King almost collided his BMW with a police car exiting a gas station. The incident led to a police check that revealed more than expected.
As officers approached King’s vehicle, the smell of marijuana was unmistakable. A quick search uncovered two small bags of marijuana and a gun inside the car. This would be just the tip of the iceberg in this unfolding drama.
During a background check, officers unearthed a more significant issue. It turned out King had an outstanding warrant in Pickens County for failing to appear in court. This warrant relates to an incident from August 2022 when he was busted speeding while under the influence and driving on a suspended license.
Despite the serious charges, King was noted to be ‘cooperative’ with law enforcement. He allowed the officers to retrieve the gun from his hip without any fuss. Meanwhile, one of his passengers faced a citation for marijuana possession but wasn’t arrested.
After his arrest in Dunwoody, King was taken to DeKalb County Jail and subsequently transferred to Pickens County authorities. As of now, King has not made any public statements regarding the arrest.
This legal hiccup comes at a critical time. Just weeks ago, his father, T.I., revealed that King and his girlfriend J’Nijah “Nana” Epps are expecting their first child. The couple celebrated the upcoming arrival with an exquisite baby shower in Atlanta recently.
As King faces legal challenges, he stands on the brink of major life changes. How he navigates this storm will undoubtedly shape his future as a parent and public figure.
