Drake may have lost the heated feud with Kendrick Lamar in the eyes of many, but that hasn’t shaken his confidence.
In a new social media post, the Toronto rapper seemed to reaffirm his place among the greats. Sharing pictures of himself in casual attire at his son Adonis’ soccer game, Drake wrote, ‘Goats don’t worry about one trick ponies.’ Present at the game was also Adonis’ mother, Sophie Brussaux.
This isn’t the first time Drake has posted something cryptic since the feud with Kendrick fizzled out. Just last week, he uploaded photos of himself at his Toronto mansion, which has recently been the target of trespassers and even a drive-by shooting. He captioned the post, ‘The only yes man around me is my Rolex dealer,’ possibly addressing Kendrick’s claims of a mole in the OVO crew.
Fans were left puzzled when Drake removed his own diss tracks from Instagram, which garnered criticism. One fan pointed out, ‘This line has officially aged the worst throughout the entire beef,’ referring to Drake’s lyrics from ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’: ‘You tryna let this shit die down, nah, nah, nah/ Not this time, n-gga, you following through.’
Another comment read, ‘Drake’s best time in this beef was that lil moment between Push Ups and Taylor Made; when everyone assumed Kdot wasn’t responding. I think once he realised Kendrick was ready to burn all bridges just to beat him it wasn’t fun anymore lmaoo the way his tone shifted was nuts lol.’
Despite the ongoing drama, Drake seems ready to move on. He teased another summer takeover and released ‘The Heart Part 6,’ the final track in the feud, though it was not well received by fans and critics.
Drake remains unfazed by his supposed ‘defeat’ to Kendrick Lamar, continuing to assert his dominance and tease new projects. The saga may have cooled down, but Drake’s confidence is still burning bright.
