It’s been a whirlwind month for Drake, and according to Camila Cabello, there’s more excitement on the horizon. The Toronto star recently teamed up with Gordo and featured on Sexyy Red’s new EP. Now, he’s set to make a significant mark on Cabello’s upcoming album, ‘C, XOXO,’ dropping June 28, 2024.
Drake will not only feature on a track but will also have his very own solo song on Cabello’s album. The former Fifth Harmony member explained this surprising decision in a Billboard interview, sharing that while it was initially Drake’s idea, she’s all for it.
Camila confessed, ‘Why does he have his own song? Because selfishly, I just want to hear Drake on my own album. I love that for me — it’s like that rebellious mood. Who says I can’t do that? It’s Drake talking his sh*t. He wanted to do one more thing for the album.’
The solo track, a two-minute interlude titled ‘Uuugly,’ will follow his other collaboration ‘Hot Uptown.’ This isn’t Cabello’s first high-profile collab either; ‘C, XOXO’ will also feature Playboi Carti and Lil Nas X.
With Drake’s addition to the mix, Camila Cabello’s ‘C, XOXO’ is shaping up to be an album packed with stellar collaborations. Fans eagerly await its release to hear how these unique partnerships play out.
