Drake didn’t exactly receive a hero’s welcome in his hometown. During Limp Bizkit’s show at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, frontman Fred Durst mentioned that Drake was watching from the side of the stage. The crowd promptly booed.
Durst seemed puzzled by the reaction. ‘I thought Drake was your homie?’ he asked, clearly assuming the crowd would be more supportive. Nevertheless, he stood his ground, asserting, ‘Drake’s my homie.’
This chilly reception at the concert is not an isolated incident. Drake has been facing criticism from various quarters. Recently, Soulja Boy took a swipe at him over a preview of an unreleased track with Lil Yachty.

The track, tentatively titled ‘Super Soak,’ features Drake rapping about ‘SOD, super soak,’ which seems to reference Soulja Boy’s record label Stacks on Deck and his 2007 hit ‘Super Soak.’
Soulja Boy did not take kindly to this. On Instagram Live, he issued a stern warning to Drake, saying, ‘This your first and only warning, my boy. If you’re trying to disrespect me or sneak diss, I’m on yo ass, boy.’
Soulja Boy even referenced Drake’s past feuds, questioning his ability to handle beef with Kendrick Lamar and suggesting Drake better not make the same mistake with him.
It’s clear that Drake’s lyrics in ‘Super Soak’ may have been a response to Soulja Boy’s earlier criticisms, where he expressed disappointment in Drake’s handling of his feud with Kendrick Lamar.
Soulja Boy had vocalized this on social media, saying, ‘You disappointed me. @Drake,’ and criticized Drake’s choice of collaborators.
