Damon Dash, known for co-founding a prominent record label, is in another legal pickle. Director Josh Webber, along with Muddy Water Pictures LLC, is pursuing Dash’s jewelry pieces to settle an unpaid judgment rising over $823,000. The court demands Dash produce business ownership documents and hand over his treasured jewelry to pay off this debt.
The jewels in question include a gold necklace, a ‘Dame’ gold chain, a ‘Dusko’ gold chain, a gold watch, three gold rings, two Roc-A-Fella necklaces, and some sparkling diamond earrings. These jewels, showcased on Dash’s social media profiles, could soon be up for auction to appease his creditors.
This legal issue piles on top of existing financial troubles for Dash. Just last October, he was set to auction assets to cover various debts. Notoriously, these obligations include over $193,000 owed for child support and a staggering $1.7 million in unpaid state taxes. Photographer Monique Bunn is also awaiting $12,000 from Dash.
In total, Dash’s tax debts reportedly exceed $7 million. As Webber and his company push for resolution, the future of Dash’s possessions remains uncertain. This moment could significantly impact Dash’s once-celebrated legacy, now overshadowed by his financial and legal woes.
Amid these financial struggles, Dash is also locked in a legal battle with his former business partner JAY-Z over their first collaborative album. This feud has strained their earlier camaraderie, adding more stress to Dash’s intricate situation.
Damon Dash’s glittering past now navigates a turbulent legal storm, leaving the fate of his jewels in question.
