Dej Loaf is shaking things up. Just days before her ‘Where My Fans’ tour was set to begin, she took to Instagram to announce a postponement. But before fans could be too devastated, she reassured everyone that a new album is on the way.
Surprise! Dej Loaf had both good and bad news for her followers on Instagram. The bad news was the delay of the much-anticipated tour. ‘We have good news and we have good news!’ she shared, emphasizing the positive. ‘The tour isn’t canceled; it’s postponed! Meaning it’s still happening just at a later date! My team and I will be rescheduling all dates and adding new ones.’
Fans were quickly reassured that this delay might be worth the wait. Dej Loaf hinted there’s new music on the horizon. ‘The other good news is that I have time to give you all what you truly deserve and what I deserve as well!’ she exclaimed. ‘Brand new music to sing/rap along with for the ‘Where My Fans’ tour once we do hit the road! Patience is a virtue! For those who are with me until the wheels fall off it’s up and I can’t wait to see you all soon! Don’t be mad. I have a huge surprise for you all on the way!’
In a follow-up post, she dropped the bombshell: her first album in over four years, titled ‘End Of Summer,’ is set to release on October 11. Fans can already pre-save the album, turning anticipation into excitement.
This news comes after a turbulent period for Dej Loaf. In late 2021, she announced she might retire from music for good. Fans were left stunned by a Twitter post where she declared, ‘Probably never drop music again.’ But this wasn’t the end. Fellow Detroit artist Sada Baby played a crucial role in her comeback, urging her not to quit. ‘@DeJLoaf please don’t ever retire,’ Sada tweeted, along with a screenshot of her song ‘No Passes’ playing on Apple Music. ‘You the one before anybody else was the one from our side n I mean that. Love you and appreciate the soul and inspiration you gave me from just bein yoself.’
Touched by Sada’s heartfelt words, Dej Loaf decided to delay her retirement. She responded on Twitter, ‘Thanks Sada! I appreciate you! Love you/your craft and energy! Thanks for always seeing me clearly! Not retiring.’ Fans were overjoyed, with one expressing, ‘He ain’t lie, my mom RAISED me on your music your lyrics and vibe is unmatchable.’
Dej Loaf’s last album, ‘Sell Sole II,’ was released in 2020 and was packed with notable features such as Big Sean, Lil Uzi Vert, Rick Ross, 6LACK, and Griselda. Now, fans are eagerly waiting to see what her new project will bring.
With the announcement of her new album ‘End Of Summer,’ Dej Loaf has turned a tour postponement into a moment of excitement. Fans might have to wait a bit longer for the ‘Where My Fans’ tour, but the promise of fresh music ensures it’s worth the wait.
