In a shocking twist, a video has surfaced showing a deadly 2020 shooting involving YFN Lucci. The footage, obtained by WSB-TV, shows a man being shot from a moving car before being pushed out and left on the roadside to die.

YFN Lucci, who was accused of being the driver in the shooting, is not visible in the video. He was charged with murder after the December 2020 incident which resulted in one man’s death and another person’s injury. The Atlanta rapper initially faced a possible life sentence.

The footage, shared by WSB-TV and DJ Akademiks, shows the harrowing moments. Lucci’s involvement led to a plea deal earlier this year, where he pled guilty to violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. Initially facing 13 charges, his plea deal resulted in a 10-year prison sentence. However, with credit for time served, he could be eligible for parole as early as May 2024.

YFN Lucci, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, got support from fellow Atlanta rapper Killer Mike. Killer Mike wrote a heartfelt letter to the city’s Board of Parole and Pardons, urging them to grant Bennett parole. “Mr. Bennett is a sought-after recording artist… If given the opportunity, he has all the resources and mental fortitude needed to succeed and return to society as a law-abiding, contributive member,” Killer Mike wrote.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis also supports Lucci’s release. Her letter expressed no objection to Bennett being released the first time he is eligible for parole or after serving one-third of his sentence. This means that the rapper might be released in January 2025.

Before his sentencing, YFN Lucci apologized to the victim’s family and his own loved ones. This heartfelt apology, however, didn’t change the legal course, but it showed remorse and an attempt at reconciliation.

With the combined support from influential figures like Killer Mike and DA Willis, there’s growing hope surrounding YFN Lucci’s possible early release. The circumstances remain complex, but the story continues to unfold with significant developments.

The story of YFN Lucci’s 2020 shooting incident remains intense and layered with emotions. As new footage and support arise, the rapper’s journey takes unexpected turns. Whether his parole is granted or denied, this case exemplifies the intersection of fame, crime, and redemption.
