Cash Cobain has finally unleashed his much-anticipated track “Problem,” featuring a massive lineup of rap heavyweights.

The posse cut includes no fewer than 14 guest artists, with Big Sean and Fabolous among the headliners. Fellow rising New Yorker Laila! also makes an appearance, her track “Not My Problem” providing a key sample for the new song.

The production showcases droning synths and pounding bass, creating a drill-heavy track that sees contributions from the likes of Luh Tyler, Rob49, Flo Milli, 6LACK, Kaliii, Anycia, Don Q, YN Jay, Lay Bankz, Kenzo B, Chow Lee, and Flee.

Clocking in at almost eight minutes, the track is an ambitious lead single for Cobain’s second album, which drops on August 23. It harks back to the epic remixes of the 2000s, such as The Game’s “One Blood” and Rich Boy’s “Throw Some D’s,” which also featured numerous artists.

In a humorous nod to the track’s length, Cobain tweeted, “did something different for yall today yall lucky it wasn’t 15 mins lmaoo.”

“Problem” had been teased throughout the summer, with many artists hinting at their involvement on social media. Some, like King Combs, Veeze, Rylo Rodriguez, and Karrahbooo, didn’t make the final cut.

The song went through multiple iterations before its release, with Cobain suggesting in a podcast appearance that it was a challenge to decide which verses to keep. “Everyone not gonna make it,” he remarked.

Cobain has shot to prominence with hits like “Fisherrr” and its Ice Spice remix, cementing his status as an exciting new talent in 2024. His unique “Slizzy” sound has caught the attention of top artists, including J. Cole, Don Toliver, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, who have all worked with him.

He’s also co-produced “Calling for You” from Drake’s latest album, showing his versatility and rising influence in the industry.

Even Ice Spice, in a recent interview, praised Cobain as one to watch, stating, “Cash really has my attention right now. I’ve been listening to him a lot. It’s really his time, so he’s mostly who I’m a fan of right now.”

“Problem” is set to make waves, proving that Cash Cobain is a force to be reckoned with in the rap scene. Keep an ear out for his new album dropping soon.
