Cardi B is back with a bang, showing off her raunchy side in Rob49’s new single “On Dat Money.” The track, featuring the New Orleans rapper, was released on June 19, and it’s already making waves.

Cardi’s verse builds on Rob49’s daring hook, “I’m a rich n-gga, I’ll fuck you right there on dat money.” Cardi doesn’t hold back, rapping, “Fuck me on the money — bitch, we don’t need to bed/ Put that money on me, like that n-gga you want dead.” She adds, “Look, send that Zelle for me, pick out my nails for me/ You gon’ see-see what this throat do when you put Chanel on me.”

In the midst of her return, Cardi faced criticism from Joe Budden, who doubted she’d ever release a follow-up to her 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy. On his podcast, he mentioned, “We’ll never get another album again… that’s what Cardi’s gonna be now, just a singles artist.” He also speculated that her husband, Offset, might be urging her to release an album. “Ay, fellas out there, boyfriends, y’all know that feeling right? When you want your bitch to get a job,” Budden quipped.

Cardi didn’t stay silent. She fired back on X Spaces, recalling a past encounter with Budden during her stripper days and accusing him of drug use. “I gave you a lap dance two times in fucking Starlets. You was high as fuck. High as fuck on coke, n-gga,” she revealed. Cardi expressed her frustration over Budden’s consistent negativity, saying, “For the past two years, this n-gga has only talked bad things about me.”

Budden, after initially swearing off ever covering her music again, made a rare apology on X. He humorously acknowledged Cardi’s anger but denied her claims about drug use. “She cursing me smooth out but she still hilarious lol… I’m going to bed, i apologize to @iamcardib for whatever i did and peace and love to all,” he posted.

Cardi wrapped up the exchange by thanking her fans for their support and hinting at an upcoming album. “Sometimes I get a little aggressive because y’all know I don’t like to be told what to do but I promise you it’s coming THIS YEAR.” This back-and-forth has only heightened the anticipation for what Cardi B will do next.

Cardi B’s fiery guest verse and the subsequent drama with Joe Budden have certainly kept fans entertained. With promises of new music on the horizon, it’s clear she’s not taking a backseat anytime soon.
