Cardi B is gearing up to make 2025 her breakthrough year. Despite earlier promises of a 2024 release for her sophomore album, fans will have to hold out a bit longer.

The Bronx rapper last released a full album back in April 2018 with ‘Invasion of Privacy.’ Now, more than six years later, Cardi is assuring fans that new music is indeed on the way.

In a candid Instagram Live session, Cardi expressed mixed emotions about the past year, describing it as strange and unpredictable. ‘I fell in love. Then fell out of love, then got a divorce,’ she revealed, sharing the whirlwind of events that have marked her recent life.

She emphasized that despite the chaos, she’s determined to get back on track. ‘I don’t know what the heck is going on. I’m going through a very different transition in my life and life is moving a little bit too fast. I don’t want to crash. I have to get my act together,’ Cardi confessed.

The delay of the album, initially teased for 2024, can be traced back to the arrival of her third child. Yet, Cardi remains committed, spending considerable time in the studio post-baby, hinting that the album’s production is on full throttle for a 2025 unveiling.

Hints about the album’s content have been trickling in. Trademarks filed by her company, Washpoppin, Inc., suggest possible titles like “Defamation of character,” “Intrusive thoughts,” and “Am I The Drama?” These tidbits add to the anticipation building around the release.

Moreover, Cardi’s all-important album covers are ready, albeit with some indecision on her part about which one to select, as she shared with fans on social media.

With all hands on deck and the completion of her photoshoot for the album artwork, Cardi is in her final prep phase, committing wholeheartedly to meet her new 2025 deadline.

Cardi B is focused on making 2025 the year she fulfills her promises. With new music, and possibly other ventures, fans have plenty to look forward to as she navigates her dynamic journey.
