Cardi B shared that she initially reached out to BIA by phone to try and resolve their issues, but the conversation quickly turned aggressive. “The conversation started very nasty. It started very aggressive,” Cardi admitted. “I was coming at her, and she was coming at me. But then I called her back because…I’m so appalled at the fact that she thinks I’m copying her or stealing from her, ‘cus there’s nothing that she do that I like. I don’t like her music, I don’t like her style… I don’t even see the bitch…”
Cardi B didn’t stop there. She addressed the drama surrounding her verse on the remix of GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be.” In the track, she raps, “Guess I’m a teacher since you wanna sub me/ She did one had no idea, thought she was on the shelf IKEA/ Hope she talk like that when I see her/ Bitch please don’t nobody wanna be her (BIA).”
Adding fuel to the fire, Cardi jokingly encouraged fans to stream BIA’s music, claiming the rapper needed to recoup her publishing. She also threatened to release their conversation. “I will put the conversations up… We ended up the conversation very nicely, and you still went to the internet dissing me. After the conversation, you went and you started saying I copied your music video…Then you going around lying about my pussy to my man’s boys and shit. BIA wasn’t silent either. She fired back with her own Instagram Live session later that night and previewed a diss track aimed at Cardi B. With lines like, “Got a dark soul, got a bright future/Imma let her know I’m a sharp shooter/You ain’t nothin’ but a fuck girl, I see right through ya’,” BIA didn’t hold back. She further escalated the situation by mentioning Cardi’s children, Wave and Culture.
BIA also backed her diss track with allegations of cheating involving Cardi’s husband, Offset. She released the official audio for the track on YouTube, using a post where Offset had alleged Cardi B had cheated on him as the backdrop.
After hearing the “Wanna Be” remix, BIA took to social media to express her disdain. “BITCHS IS WACK. BITCHS IS TRASH,” she tweeted. “I SHOULD HANG BITCHS RIGHT OVER MY KNEE, THE WAY I BE PUTTIN MY BELT TO THEY ASSSSSSSS.” Additionally, she shared a video from a battle rap scene where a rapper got roasted by the audience, seemingly insinuating Cardi’s shots were unimpressive.
