Cardi B and Offset are tangled in a new lawsuit, as the duo allegedly failed to pay for using a lavish mansion in their “Like What (Freestyle)” music video.

According to TMZ, the hip-hop couple filmed the video with Offset credited as the director. Most of the video was shot in a luxurious Beverly Hills mansion. However, it seems Cardi B and Offset never settled the rental fee.

The mansion’s owner claims they were misled about the purpose of the property rental. Allegedly, Cardi B’s representatives told the homeowner that a random client wanted to shoot a TikTok video, leading to the homeowner waiving the fee. Now, the owner is seeking more than $35,000 in damages.

TMZ reached out to Cardi B and Offset’s teams for comments, but haven’t received any response. The music video, which has been on YouTube for about six months, has garnered over 27 million views. Despite its success online, this legal skirmish adds another layer of drama to the couple’s already high-profile lives.

Whether the court rules in favor of the mansion’s owner or Cardi B and Offset, this lawsuit highlights the complexities and stakes involved in high-profile productions. Stay tuned for the outcome!
