Cardi B has dismissed allegations of homophobia following a heated exchange with a Nicki Minaj fan who disrespected her wax model at Madame Tussauds Hollywood.

The drama began when a video surfaced showing a Minaj fan spitting on Cardi B’s wax figure, saying, “They don’t have you in the dark shadows for no reason, bitch. Nobody likes you.” The fan then added another “Bitch” before walking away, all while Nicki Minaj’s “Starships” played in the background.

Cardi B swiftly responded on social media, questioning the man’s masculinity by writing, “But when I said be a BOY.” When asked if she would react similarly towards celebrity blogger KenBarbie, she replied, “Ken don’t act like that and can build an IKEA set… He a man 😂.”

As tensions escalated, Cardi was accused of being homophobic, an accusation she promptly shut down. “Stop wit the fake homophobia bullshit. I’m not homophobic. I don’t care wtf you like to fuck and suck and eat on but be a fuckin BOY. You a grown ass man spitting at a wax figure of me,” she retorted.

The fan further taunted Cardi by posting a photo of himself next to Nicki Minaj’s wax model, captioning it with “[cross mark emojis] Be a Mother Be a Wife[.] Worried about me being a boy When your Husband is Messing with Ladies With Sticks @NICKIMINAJ Nicki Is Better #Barbz @BarbzFeedx.”

In light of the controversy, it’s worth noting that Cardi B has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ community. In 2022, she clapped back at homophobes stating, “Every bad bitch have a gay best friend cousin… if you homophobic you just ugly.” She also officiated a same-sex wedding for her Facebook series, Cardi Tries, adding another layer to her allyship. Cardi told the couple, “I want to thank you guys for making me a part of your beautiful journey.”

Despite the recent spat, Cardi B continues to stand firm against homophobia, reminding fans and critics alike of her long-standing support for the LGBTQ community.
